SEREMBAN: Caretaker health minister and incumbent member of parliament for Rembau Khairy Jamaluddin is not in the list of Barisan Nasional’s eight parliamentary candidates for Negeri Sembilan.

Utusan Malaysia reported that Negeri Sembilan Barisan Nasional had submitted the list of candidates for various parliamentary seats in the state, and Khairy was not in the list, including some of the seats said to be most likely contested by him such as Tampin, Kuala Pilah and Port Dickson.

With that, it is widely believed that Khairy will now be fielded in Sungai Buloh in Selangor.

Meanwhile, Khairy told reporters in a press conference today that he did not know whether he would eventuallybe fielded in Sungai Buloh, adding that the list of candidates would be announced later.

He reiterated that he would accept any decision by the party.
