We are ‘kings’ of our country…once more
By:Prof Dr. Mohd Tajuddin Mohd Rasdi

When the dissolution of parliament was announced yesterday, I felt a sense of lightness and serenity that I remembered only once other on the morning of GE14 aftermath.

I walked as if the aches and pains of old age were no longer there and the future seemed painted with wisps of white clouds with a slight hint of sun rays of the early dawn.

I will recount five reasons why I think that this particular ‘forced dissolution’ is a sign from heaven that we, the Malaysian people, may actually have another chance at reclaiming our beloved homeland from the corrupt, religious zealots and civil servants that have forgotten that it is WE who are their masters, not the PM or the KSN (Ketua Setiausaha Negara). WE the Rakyat.

Firstly, I am most happy to finally see the end of the ‘disgusting’ career of the worst of the worst speakers of parliament I have ever witnessed. Such arrogance, such incompetence and such vulgarity of spirit that cannot be counted by any religious faith or human decency.

He was appointed by Muhyiddin and since PPBM will be dead when PAS abandons them for its original ‘husband’ Umno, whichever government wins it will not be PN and Muhyiddin will not be able to extend the career of that man, the worst speaker in Malaysia’s last 40 years of my witness.

Secondly, we the rakyat can now refer to Muhyiddin as Saudara Mahiaddin and Azmin as Abang Azmin or Pak Cik Azmin and Zuraida as Mak Cik Zu or perhaps Nenek Zu.

These are the people that have hurt Malaysians the most and the dissolution have made them ‘ordinary’ again and now coming to ask for us to vote them in. Good luck trying-lah.

PPBM who wielded vast powers after the Sheraton Move dwindled in strength with Ismail Sabri at the helm and now Bersatu jatuh merudum with the dissolution of parliament.

It is a lesson to all parliamentarians, setinggi tinggi tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh juga ke tanah.

Thirdly, know that this dissolution is the desperate move of one man and one man only, Zahid Hamidi. Zahid needs to win in an election and save his seat before the November verdict that may find him guilty.

That way, he can still be ‘PM’ and go for a long appeal and federal court process if need be.

For a party to go to an election war with only one date to consider without any other option, that party will stand to lose big.

Umno is of two factions. Now Zahid is back in power and the Ismail gang, I suspect, have already had their candidacy signed by Zahid as a bargaining chip for dissolution of parliament.

But like Khairy, these people may have to fight for a decent constituency, and that is not easy because it will be like being in a den of thieves.

There is no trust or loyalty and the only currency recognized briefly is money.

Umno is at its weakest and declaring an election war with this disunity and the anger of the rakyat over the banjir is not the ideal scenario for them.

So, what that Umno won handsomely the two state elections of Melaka and Johor, those were masterful calculations that no one would return in a Covid situation and the economics of travels were not advantageous.

But now the full wrath of Malaysians will fall on Umno and even when PAS ditches Bersatu and come on the BN bandwagon, many Malays may have been disillusioned by the massive corruption value and the callousness of flood relief effort.

With the military corruption being showcased day by day, will the postal votes of the armed forces still be with Umno? I pray not.

Fourthly, Rafizi’s Ayuh Malaysia and his many strategic allegations of corruptions in the military is gaining momentum day by day, especially after several months of non-stop campaigning.

Umno was still fighting with Ismail Sabri’s deflection of the issue of dissolution. The Ayuh Malaysia and the Reformasi cry of Lawan Tetap Lawan has resurfaced after a twenty-year legacy.

Fifthly, the social and print media have gone to war on corruption and the misdeeds of Umno since a year ago.

Sinar Harian leads with their Rasuah Busters that recently saw an academic and a Sultan calling the Malay politicians as ‘hypocrites in Islam’…a very harsh term indeed.

YouTubers like Zaharin, Iswardy Morni and Reggie Jessie Rithaudeen have been banging to the Malay and Malaysian audience with relentless energy that I think these three deserve a civil society award of the highest kind.

With all these reasons, I feel a sense that great things can happen within the next thirty days if Malaysians can keep the momentum going and urge all and everyone to come out and vote against these people who have stolen our children’s future.

In the coming articles, I will write about what NOT to respond when the election baiting of race and religion is thrown by Umno and PAS

I will also write what are the few most critical things to do if Malaysians reclaimed our country back like in 2018.

We must avoid the mistakes we as Malaysians did and ride carefully on our hopeful success.

Once again God has made us kings of our country and masters of our own fate.

Let us all do our part and cast the ballots for our children’s future.
