PETALING JAYA: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) summoned health minister Khairy Jamaluddin and finance minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz to a hearing that lasted three and a half hours today on the development and procurement of MySejahtera app.

PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh told Sin Chew Daily the committee was hearing the ministers’ explanation on the development of the MySejahtera app, the government’s discussions on MySejahtera’s charges, as well as the ownership of MySejahtera and the data collected through the app.

Wong said both Khairy and Tengku Zafrul were present at the hearing held from 10.00a.m. this morning until 1.30 p.m.

“We have also obtained from the health ministry the only contract signed between the government and KPISoft.

“It’s a confidential agreement for the development of the app.”

Also present at the hearing were health ministry secretary-general Datuk Harjeet Singh and secretary-general of treasury Datuk Asri Hamidon.
