KUALA LUMPUR: From the 14th general elections until this February, a total of 38 members of parliament have switched parties, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at the Dewan Rakyat.

In his written reply to Wong Ling Biu, member of parliament for Sarikei, Ismail Sabri said the government is in the process of drafting anti-hopping law.

Once the definition and policy on anti-hopping are finalized, the proposed bill will be tabled in the parliament, he said.

Ismail also said each political party has different views on the definition of crossing over.
