KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Sin Chew Daily) -= The Employees’ Provident Fund (KWSP) is expected to declare the dividend rate for 2021 next Monday.

Customarily KWSP would announce the dividend rare on the second to fourth Saturday each February. However, Sin Chew Daily has learned that KWSP will not announce the dividend rate this weekend, and will likely do so next Monday.

“It should be announced around lunch time,” said a source.

Most economists have anticipated 2021’s dividend rate to be between 4.5% and 5.5%, but the more optimistic have put it at 5-6%.

KWSP announced a 5.20% dividend rate for 2020, the lowest since 2008 (4.50%) due to the pandemic.
