PETALING JAYA, Aug 24 (Sin Chew Daily) — The Kuala Lumpur branch of Taipei Investors’ Association in Malaysia has raised a total of RM83,000 to purchase 26 units of oxygenators for Sungai Buloh Hospital and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.
The 14 units of oxygenators will be delivered to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang on Tuesday while 12 units to Sungai Buloh Hospital on Wednesday.
Wei Tsao Tseng, president of the Kuala Lumpur branch of Taipei Investors’ Association in Malaysia, said Taiwanese investors in Kuala Lumpur had planned to buy ten units of oxygenators for Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.
Members from the Kuala Lumpur branch were generous in chipping in the funds resulting in a total of 26 units of oxygenators bought.

While inspecting the oxygenators supplied by Pro Health Medics Sdn Bhd, Wei said the association learned that both hospitals were short of medical appliances and had decided to donate oxygenators to both hospitals.
The association also contributed rubber gloves and goggles to hospitals last year.
Wei said the Taipei Investors’ Association in Malaysia also conducted a survey among its members on their losses incurred during the pandemic.
He said most of the members did not operate in June and July, but about 70% of them were still willing to stay in Malaysia. Another 25% of investors said they were keen to increase their investments here.
