PUTRAJAYA, July 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 10,972 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 48 imported cases.

Selangor reported 4,404 new cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan (1,340), Johor (876), Kedah (705), Sabah (651), Kuala Lumpur (609), Pahang (475), Melaka (474), Penang (426), Perak (324), Sarawak (301), Kelantan (170) and Terengganu (144).

To date there are a cumulative total of 927,533 confirmed cases and 791,388 recoveries (including 6,439 discharged today) at 85.32% recovery rate.

129 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 7,148.

There are currently 128,997 active cases, including 915 at ICUs, 435 requiring ventilators.
