KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 (Sin Chew Daily) – According to a source, Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will have an audience with one of the sultans this evening, a day before the Malay Rulers are to meet to discuss about the COVID-19 pandemic and the Emergency decree.

It has been rumored earlier that Umno ministers would meet Ahmad Zahid at 15:00 this afternoon, but this has been denied by the ministers' officials.

They said they were not certain of the purpose of the meeting but did not deny the ministers had received invitation to it.

It has been reported that the meeting was supposed to persuade Ahmad Zahid to support the extension of the Emergency decree or the appointment of an Umno deputy prime minister.
