PUTRAJAYA, June 15 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 5,419 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,996 new cases, followed by Sarawak (718), Kuala Lumpur (650), Negeri Sembilan (396), Johor (366), Kedah (252), Kelantan (245), Sabah (230), Melaka (155), Labuan (138) and Penang (124).

To date there are a cumulative total of 667,876 confirmed cases and 593,695 recoveries (including 6,831 discharged today) at 88.89% recovery rate.

101 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 4,069.

There are currently 70,112 active cases, including 922 at ICUs, 450 requiring ventilators.
