PUTRAJAYA, June 4 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 7,748 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,612 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (851), Negeri Sembilan (709), Sarawak (706), Johor (446), Penang (376), Perak (371), Sabah (287), Kelantan (286), Kedah (263), Melaka (234), Labuan (230), Terengganu (203) and Pahang (146).

To date there are a cumulative total of 603,122 confirmed cases and 515,571 recoveries (including 6,624 discharged today) at 85.48% recovery rate.

86 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 3,182.

There are currently 84,369 active cases, including 883 at ICUs, 459 requiring ventilators.
