PUTRAJAYA, June 3 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 8,209 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 64 imported cases.

Selangor reported 3,125 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (801), Johor (752), Sarawak (594), Negeri Sembilan (576), Kelantan (414), Perak (384), Kedah (373), Melaka (322), Penang (303), Sabah (203), Pahang (135) and Terengganu (127).

To date there are a cumulative total of 595,374 confirmed cases and 508,947 recoveries (including 7,049 discharged today) at 85.48% recovery rate.

103 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 3,096.

There are currently 83,331 active cases, including 880 at ICUs, 446 requiring ventilators.
