SHAH ALAM, May 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – Selangor state executive councilor Dr Siti Mariah bt Mahmud and Selangor COVID-19 task force chairman Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad say the state has no plans to implement a full movement control order like what was enforced last March.
However, the state is considering enhanced MCO in more seriously affected places instead.
Sit Mariah said in a press conference that the Selangor state government will not implement a full MCO considering the impact it would have on the state's economy.
Meanwhile, Dzulkefly said the situation in Selangor is not too bad considering the state's population and rapid industrial development, adding that the state government would have to think twice before enforcing a full MCO.
