PUTRAJAYA, May 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record 6,075 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,251 new cases, followed by Johor (699), Kuala Lumpur (660), Kedah (445), Kelantan (441), Sarawak (323), Perak (220), Terengganu (203), Negeri Sembilan (189), Penang (183), Sabah (160), Pahang (150) and Melaka (122).

To date there are a cumulative total of 485,496 confirmed cases and 436,116 recoveries (including 3,516 discharged today) at 89.83% recovery rate.

46 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 2,040.

There are currently 47,340 active cases, including 559 at ICUs, 303 requiring ventilators.
