PUTRAJAYA, May 11 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,973 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,328 new cases, followed by Sarawak (512), Kuala Lumpur (483), Johor (384), Kelantan (321), Penang (187), Kedah (174), Perak (140) and Negeri Sembilan (126).

To date there are a cumulative total of 448,457 confirmed cases and 408,236 recoveries (including 2,848 discharged today) at 91.03% recovery rate.

22 new deaths were reported, taking the toll to 1,722.

There are currently 38,499 active cases, including 453 at ICUs, 224 requiring ventilators.
