PUTRAJAYA, Apr 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,078 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 13 imported cases.

Sarawak reported 589 new cases, followed by Selangor (457), Kelantan (290), Kuala Lumpur (153), Sabah (125) and Johor (115).

To date there are a cumulative total of 377,132 confirmed cases  and 355,224 recoveries (including 1,402 discharged today) at 94.19% recovery rate.

Eight new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,386.

There are currently 20.522 active cases, including 228 at ICUs, 93 requiring ventilators.
