PUTRAJAYA, Apr 1 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,178 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 20 imported cases.

Sarawak reported 238 new cases, followed by Selangor (237), Penang (190), Johor (165) and Kuala Lumpur (101).

To date there are a cumulative total of 346,678 confirmed cases and 331,001 recoveries (including 1,377 discharged today) at 95.48% recovery rate.

Six new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,278.

There are currently 14,399 active cases, including 163 at ICUs, 81 requiring ventilators.
