PUTRAJAYA, Mar 29 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 941 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including eight imported cases, marking the first three-digit daily increase since last December.

Selangor reported 219 new cases, followed by Sarawak (192), Johor (171) and Penang (164).

To date there are a cumulative total of 342,885 confirmed cases and 327,406 recoveries (including 1,097 discharged today) at 95.48% recovery rate.

Five new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,260.

There are currently 14,219 active cases, including 166 at ICUs, 73 requiring ventilators.
