PETALING JAYA, Mar 15 (Sin Chew Daily) — "You're afraid of RM10,000 fine but I'm afraid of RM50,000 fine!"
Creative messages are used as reminders for patrons to scan the displayed QR codes with their MySejahtera apps before entering a retail outlet as the fines for failing to comply with standard operating procedures have been increased from RM1,000 to RM10,000 for individuals and RM50,000 for business owners.
Retail outlets are finding their ways to remind patrons to comply with the SOPs to avoid being slapped with RM50,000 fine.
Recently, a message was circulated on social media: "Please scan MySejahtera app and wear a face mask. You're afraid of RM10,000 fine but I'm afraid of RM50,000 fine!"
A food truck operator wrote on a signboard: "I do not wish to sell a set of fried oyster at RM50,000. And you do not wish to pay RM10,000 for it too. Please scan MySejahtera for the sake of our 'financial planning'."
To remind his patrons, a mamak shop operator came up with this message: "Roti canai RM1.40, teh tarik RM1.50. If you do not scan/write your name and take your temperature, you pay RM10,002.90."
