PUTRAJAYA, Feb 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,936 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 17 imported cases.

Selangor reported 978 new cases, followed by Johor (730), Kuala Lumpur (227), Sarawak (199), Negeri Sembilan (191), Penang (188), Perak (155) and Sabah (101).

To date there are a cumulative total of 277,811 confirmed cases and 239,971 recoveries (including 4,889 discharged today) at 86.38% recovery rate.

13 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,043.

There are currently 36,797 active cases, including 220 at ICUs, 104 requiring ventilators.
