PUTRAJAYA, Jan 23 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record 4,275 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 11 imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,421 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (548), Sabah (498), Johor (425), Melaka (278) and Perak (208).

To date there are a cumulative total of 180,455 confirmed cases and 137,019 recoveries (including 4,313 discharged today) at 75.9% recovery rate.

Seven new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 667.

There are currently 42,769 active cases, including 260 at ICUs, 103 requiring ventilators.
