PUTRAJAYA, Jan 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,631 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported 782 new cases, followed by Johor (466), Sabah (453), Kuala Lumpur (435), Sarawak (229), Penang (202), Negeri Sembilan (197), Terengganu (178), Kedah (166), Kelantan (161), and Perak (138).

To date there are a cumulative total of 176,180 confirmed cases and 132,706 recoveries (including 2,554 discharged today) at 75.3% recovery rate.

18 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 660.

There are currently 42,814 active cases, including 251 at ICUs, 102 requiring ventilators.
