PUTRAJAYA, Jan 13 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,985 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 837, followed by Johor (535), Sabah (450), Kuala Lumpur (289), Sarawak (166), Pahang (143), Negeri Sembilan (106) and Penang (105).

To date there are a cumulative total of 144,518 confirmed cases and 111,578 recoveries (including 994 discharged today) at 77.2% recovery rate.

Four new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 563.

There are currently 32,377 active cases, including 197 at ICUs, 79 requiring ventilators.
