KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Sin Chew Daily) – PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is willing to reconcile with former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal in hope of forming a strong opposition alliance or PH++.
A Pakatan Harapan leader told Sin Chew Daily yesterday's PH presidential council meeting talked about a grand opposition alliance or PH++, and Anwar was not resistant to such an idea.
"We talked about this and Anwar did not resist it. We can talk about it but most importantly we must stop attacking one another first.
"PKR wants Mahathir and Shafie to stop attacking Anwar, while other PH parties have also requested Anwar not to 'instruct' his people to attack Tun Mahathir.
"We hope to make use of the emergency decree announced by the government to mend our relationship with Tun Mahathir."
This was the first PH presidential council meeting since the Parliament was adjourned on December 17 last year.
A source told Sin Chew Daily the PH meeting did not touch on cooperation with Umno.
