PUTRAJAYA, Jan 11 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,232 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 557, followed by Johor (396), Sabah (374), Kuala Lumpur (201), Sarawak (153), Penang (112) and Negeri Sembilan (102).

To date there are a cumulative total of 138,224 confirmed cases and 109,115 recoveries (including 1,006 discharged today) at 78.9% recovery rate.

Four new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 555.

There are currently 28,554 active cases, including 187 at ICUs, 87 requiring ventilators.
