IPOH, Jan 6 (Sin Chew Daily) — DAP's state assemblyman for Malim Nawar Leong Cheok Keng says there is no final decision yet on whether he will quit the party to join MCA, as he needs time to draft a statement to explain everything.

On a media report that he has admitted to have applied to join MCA, Leong clarified with Sin Chew Daily that he had never admitted nor denied to have done so, but was subsequently interpreted by the media as having "admitted to have applied to join MCA".

He said he did not blame the media but declined to comment further on this matter for the time being.

When asked whether there was a letter from DAP's disciplinary committee demanding for an explanation, Leong said he needed time to study the letter before making any response.

He said as he needed time to draft his statement, he would not issue any statement today to explain this matter.
