PUTRAJAYA, Dec 21 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 2,018 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 1,204, followed by Johor (278), Sabah (247) and Kuala Lumpur (127).

To date there are a cumulative total of 95,327 confirmed cases and 78,393 recoveries (including 1,084 discharged today) at 82.2% recovery rate.

One new death was reported today, taking the toll to 438.

There are currently 16,496 active cases, including 109 at ICUs, 55 requiring ventilators.
