PUTRAJAYA, Dec 18 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,683 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including eight imported cases.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 692, followed by Sabah (260), Kuala Lumpur (197), Negeri Sembilan (174) and Melaka (140).

To date there are a cumulative total of 90,816 confirmed cases and 75,244 recoveries (including 1,214 discharged today) at 82.9% recovery rate.

No new death was reported today.

There are currently 15,140 active cases, including 106 at ICUs, 51 requiring ventilators.
