PUTRAJAYA, Oct 15 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 589 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Sabah recorded the highest number of new cases at 304, followed by Selangor (150), Perak (52) and Kedah (31).

To date there are a cumulative total of 18,129 confirmed cases and 12,014 recoveries (including 409 discharged today) at 66.27% recovery rate.

Three new deaths have been reported, taking the toll to 170.

There are currently 5,945 active cases, including 103 at ICUs, 31 requiring ventilators.
