PUTRAJAYA, Aug 17 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 12 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

Of the ten locally transmitted cases, six were from Kedah, including four from Tawar cluster and two from Sala cluster, while three were from Tawar cluster in Penang.

To date there are a cumulative total of 9,212 confirmed cases and 8,876 recoveries (including 17 discharged today) at 96.35% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 211 active cases, including eight at ICUs, two requiring ventilators.
