PUTRAJAYA, Aug 14 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 20 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Of the 13 locally transmitted cases, 12 cases were from Kedah, of which 10 from the Tawar cluster. Another case from Penang was also from this cluster.

To date there are a cumulative total of 9,149 confirmed cases and 8,828 recoveries (including seven discharged today) at 96.49% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 196 active cases, including four at ICUs, one requiring ventilator.
