KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Sin Chew Daily) – After the High Court has struck out the lawsuit by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the former prime minister will hold a press conference at 16:00 this afternoon and he is expected to announce the formation of a new party.

Tun Mahathir's secretary Adam Mukhriz confirmed with Sin Chew Daily that he would hold a press conference this afternoon.

"Tun Mahathir has planned to set up a new party, and may announce this at the press conference.

"However, he has yet to apply with the Registrar of Societies and has not obtained any approval from the authorities."

Adam said Mahathir had intended to form a PPBM 2.0 but had not decided on the name yet.
