PUTRAJAYA, July 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 16 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including eight imported cases.

Nine of the new cases were reported in Sarawak, three in Selangor, two in Kuala Lumpur and one each in Perak and Johor.

Two new clusters were also found.

To date there are a cumulative total of 8,831 confirmed cases and 8,566 recoveries (including four discharged today) at 97.00% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 142 active cases, including five at ICUs, one requiring ventilator.
