MACC: LGE summoned for questioning

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A heavyweight politician was summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for questioning today, believably in association with the Penang undersea tunnel project.
A senior MACC official confirmed with Sin Chew Daily that former finance minister Lim Guan Eng had been summoned to give his statement at MACC headquarters, but did not elbaorate on the case involved.
Earlier today, Sin Chew Daily tried to confirm with Lim whether he had been summoned for questioning when he stepped out of the Parliament House at 12:24, but he declined to comment.
