
JOHOR BAHRU (Sin Chew Daily) — A hearing impaired delivery man's story of losing his motorbike after delivering a meal to Pelangi Leisure Mall was posted on social media.
A netizen came forward to raise fund for Fazah on Facebook after learning his plight.
In less than 24 hours RM10,000 was raised. Fazah's stolen motorbike was recovered too.
Fazah delivered a meal to Pelangi Leisure Mall on 8 July during lunch time. He could not find his motorbike after the delivery.
A sad Fazah then sat at the roadside with his delivery bag.
A netizen identified as Peon-JB posted Fazah's plight and a photo of him on Facebook which caught the attention of many on social media.
The netizen requested help to trace the stolen motorbike and raised fund for Fazah on emergency basis to help him buy motorbike so that his job would not be affected.
The proposal received overwhelming response from netizens of all races. A total of RM10,000 was raised within 24 hours.
A piece of good news was that netizens helped find the stolen motorbike in a lane.
The fund raising has since stopped as the motorbike was recovered.
Fazah responded to Sin Chew Daily in writing that he was grateful to the help extended to him by caring netizens.
