PETALING JAYA, June 15 (Sin Chew Daily) – Passersby of different races extended a helping hand to a food delivery rider injured in a road accident.
A witness uploaded the incident on Facebook and netizens discussed the post on social media.
A netizen by the name of Aman wrote that a Malay delivery man was injured in a road accident at Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya. Several passersby helped him by calling the ambulance, informed his employer and even provided shade for him.
A car stopped by the road and a Chinese man who said he was a doctor, came out from it to help the injured rider.
Aman wrote that when the doctor applied first aid to the rider, another Indian man helped the doctor by holding the rider's legs.
"The hands of the Chinese and the Indian were tainted by the blood of an unknown Malay. Everyone was willing to save a life! I wish to tell everyone that Malaysia is a united and peaceful country," he wrote.
Aman advised the public not to be biased against a specific ethnic group. He also urged the public to feel for the delivery man, who is working very hard to earn his living.
