Record 277 new cases reported today, mostly foreigners
PUTRAJAYA, June 4 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced a record of 277 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.
Among the new cases are six Malaysians and 271 foreigners (270 from Bukit Jalil immigration depot and one from a construction site in Pudu).
To date, there are a cumulative total of 8,247 confirmed cases and 6,559 recoveries (including 28 discharged today) at 79.53% recovery rate.
No new death has been reported.
There are currently 1,573 active cases, including six at ICUs, two requiring ventilators.
