KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Sin Chew Daily) — Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh announced today that he had resigned as deputy works minister.

Shahruddin, who is also Member of Parliament for Sri Gading, said he should prioritize the consideration that voters in Sri Gading voted for Pakatan Harapan in the 14th general election.

"To rectify this mistake, I must resign from the position appointed by prime minister of Perikatan Nasional government."
