38 new cases, 51 discharged

PUTRAJAYA, June 1 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 38 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, including 26 imported and 12 locally transmitted cases.

Of the 12 locallly transmitted cases, six involve Malaysians and six, foreigners.

To date, there are a cumulative total of 7,857 confirmed cases and 6,404 recoveries (including 51 discharged today) at 81.51% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported today.

There are currently 1,338 active cases, including eight at ICUs, two requiring ventilators.
