PUTRAJAYA, May 28 (Sin Chew Daily) – Director-general of health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced ten new COVID-19 cases in the country as of noon today, all locally transmitted.
To date, there are a cumulative total of 7,629 confirmed cases and 6,169 recoveries (including 86 discharged today) at 80.86% recovery rate.
No new death has been reported.
There are currently 1,345 active cases, including eight at ICUs, four requiring ventilators.
Meanwhile, Noor Hisham also said, of the 1,189 cases reported since the start of conditional movement control order (CMCO) until yesterday, Malaysians only made up 22.7% of all cases or 270 cases, while 77.3% or 919 cases involved foreigners, including 383 migrant workers at three immigration detention depots.
