PETALING JAYA, Mar 12 (Sin Chew Daily) — Health director-general Datuk Noor Hisham Abdullah urged all the participants of a tabligh event at Masjid Seri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, from February 28 to March 1 to contact the nearest district health departments or Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC)
The CPRC hotline numbers are: 03-8881 0200, 03-8881 0600 and 03-8881 0700.
The Brunei health ministry informed the Malaysian authorities yesterday that the country's confirmed COVID-19 cases had attended the tabligh event in Kuala Lumpur which saw the participation of almost 10,000 people, including some 5,000 Malaysians.
Meanwhile in Sarawak, the state disaster management committee estimated more than 500 people from the state had attended the gathering at Masjid Seri Petaling.
They are urged to visit the nearest government hospitals or contact the state CPRC at 082-443 248.
In Sabah, the Duchess of Kent Hospital director Dr Francis Paul confirmed that 125 people from Sandakan attended the event in Kuala Lumpur.
