KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (MySinchew) – The Edge Markets reported that the government and police had filed a civil forfeiture suit against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in relation to RM711 million worth of valuables, including jewelry, cash, handbags and luxury cars.
These valuables were said to have been bought with 1MDB funds, and were seized by the police during raids at Najib's properties last year.
It was reported that the authorities filed two notices of motion and supporting affidavits to seize the said valuables on Tuesday.
