KUALA LUMPUR: Taiwanese singer Donna Chiu is grateful to Mega Star Arena founder Paul Wong for her to perform at the Mega Star Arena in Sungai Wang Plaza as the first stop of her World Tour Performance back in 2017.
Chiu, 60, one of the members of “The Flying Eagles”, shared on her Facebook that Wong would be fondly remembered.
“Though you now rest in the Lord, your passion for music, your love for family and faith in Christ will stay in the hearts of everyone who knows you,’’ wrote Chiu, who is also a TV host.

Daniel Chang, the deputy general manager of Taiwan’s ERA television, said he struggled to accept the news of Wong’s passing.
Chang lamented meeting Wong “too late in life.”
Although they were the same age, Chang said he saw in Wong many qualities he himself lacked—steadfast faith, decisiveness, and a sense of calm that reassured those around him.
“Your charm in handling things just made people trust you naturally,” he wrote.

News of Wong’s passing sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry as one of its most influential figures.
He who had organised countless concerts and major events, nurtured backstage crews and industry professionals.
Wong was killed in a car accident in Thailand on Nov 22. He was 56.
A big bike fan, two big bikes are placed at the wake in Nirvana Memorial Hall in Kuala Lumpur for family and friends to remember Wong.
Funeral is set on Sat ( Nov 29).
