Sarawak livestock company Green Breeder founder Dr Gregory Ng Siew Thiam passes away at 65

KUCHING: Renowned Sarawak livestock entrepreneur Dr Gregory Ng Siew Thiam has passed away at 65.

Dr Ng passed away at the National Heart Centre in Singapore last Friday.

A veterinary by training, Dr Ng ventured into livestock industry by rearing pigs in 1994.

Under his stewardship, Green Breeder became the first company in Sarawak to export live pigs to Singapore in 2017.

It was a milestone achieved by the livestock industry in Sarawak.

In July, Green Breeder expanded the export of live pigs to Port Klang in Selangor, another milestone achieved by the company.

Dr Ng also founded Eco Farm Solution Sdn Bhd which introduced A2 dairy cattle to Sarawak to produce A2 milk as a healthier dairy option.

He made a lasting impact on Sarawak’s livestock industry. His passing was described as a great loss to the industry.

Dr Ng is survived by his widow Veronica Chew Ching Kwang, and four children.

Those who wish to pay their last respect, wake is held from 9 am to 9 pm on Monday and Tuesday.

A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Kuching at 9.30 am on Wednesday.

He will be laid to rest at Nirvana Memorial Park.
