KUCHING: This is a coloring contest for children and grandparents alike.
The women’s wing of Sarawak Hopoh Association organized a coloring contest for both children and senior citizens at Wisma Saberkas on July 13.
The contest encouraged children to explore colors and apply their creativity while senior citizens enjoyed time spent on coloring to keep their minds active and prevent dementia, according to a post on the Facebook of the Hakka-speaking community.
Children, including non-Chinese, were seen taking part in the contest.
The activity was held for the young and old to have fun together, foster family ties and interactions between generations, reflecting efforts made by the association’s women’s wing to promote family values and community events.
