KUANTAN: A local photographer is proud that three of his photographs of Sepat Beach taken last year have been uploaded on the Instagram of Apple.

Amirul Haiqal, who is known as Amirul H. @miqal.ys on Instagram, wrote: “In my photography, the angle, the emotions and the light all come together in one moment.”

His three photographs – a man on the camp chair looking at the sea, a camping lantern at the beach, and a woman with a torch light at the beach reposted on Apple’s Instagram were taken last year.

He is excited that he gets to share the scenic beaches of his hometown on Instagram so that more people will get to know the beautiful beaches on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The 25-year-old photographer specialising in weddings and events is thankful for the support and positive comments.

On his Facebook, he wrote: “Thank you for the positive comments and support. I thank those who criticised me for using Apple products. Maybe for all of you it is not something to be proud of, but for myself it is a recognition that I have tried for years.”

It’s a dream come true for Amirul to see his photographs featured on the Instagram of Apple.

“Taking photographs since 2019, I have been thinking of seeing my photographs on Apple’s Instagram. I am extremely happy,” he said.

The photographs have received more than 143,433 likes and more than 553 comments.

Amirul has also uploaded photos at various Kuantan beaches–Teluk Chempedak, Pantai Pelindung, and Pantai Sepat–on Instagram.
