Since helping a kidney failure patient to undergo kidney transplant for the first time in year 2000, the Sau Seng Lum Hemodialysis Foundation has assisted 13 patients so far.

Norashah, 47, is the 13th kidney failure patient to have received financial support from Sau Seng Lum to undergo kidney transplant.

A renal failure patient who had to rely on dialysis treatment in 2021, Norashah was referred to seek help from Sau Seng Lum Hemodialysis Foundation by her employer the same year.

She was undergoing dialysis treatment at a government hospital for three months before turning to Sau Seng Lum dialysis center.

Norashah was grateful to the foundation for assisting her to reduce her financial burden.

Wong Peng Wah, vice chairman of Sau Seng Lum Hemodialysis Foundation, said the collaboration among patients and doctors had made it possible for the foundation to assist renal failure patients to undergo transplant.

The dialysis centers under Sau Seng Lum in Petaling Jaya and Puchong can accommodate a total of 200 patients. Those needing financial assistance can contact the center at 03-7783 2293.
