PUTRAJAYA: Election Commission Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh announced today that the Pulai parliamentary and Simpang Jeram state by-elections will be held on September 9 (Saturday).

Nomination will be on August 26, with 14 days of campaign period.

The two seats have been vacated since the death of former minister of domestic trade and costs of living Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub on July 23.
