DAP announces Selangor election line-up: Gobind not in list

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP announced its 15 candidates for the upcoming Selangor state election this afternoon, including eight incumbents defending their seats and seven newcomers.

State DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo, who has been tipped to contest in the state election, is not fielded.

In the list announced by party secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook, new candidates are fielded to contest the seats of Teratai (Yew Jia Haur), Balakong (Ong Chun Wei), Bandar Baru Klang (Quah Perng Fei), Kota Kemuning (S Preakas), Banting (V Papparaidu) and Sungai Pelek (Lwi Kian Keong).

The incumbent Balakong assemblyman Wong Siew Ki will now contest the Seri Kembangan seat.

The eight incumbents who will defend their seats in the coming state election are: Ng Suee Lim (Sekinchan), Lee Kee Hiong (Kuala Kubu Bharu), Ng Sze Han (Kinrara), Michelle Ng (Subang Jaya), Rajiv Rishyakaran (Bukit Gasing), Lim Yi Wei (Kampung Tunku), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama) and Leong Tuck Chee (Pandamaran).
