KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan state legislative assembly will be dissolved on June 22.

Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob announced this morning that the Kelantan state legislative assembly will be dissolved next Thursday (June 22) to pave way for state elections.

He said after chairing the state assembly sitting today that the decision had been granted consent by Sultan Muhammad V.

Kelantan is the first state to have announced the dissolution of state assembly for state elections which will also be held concurrently for Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Terengganu.
