IPOH: Perak menteri besar  Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said during a press conference with all 31 Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan state assemblymen that he and all state executive councilors and government assemblymen would continue to support the unity government, quashing the rumor the state government would soon be toppled.

Of the 33 Perak state assemblymen in the unity government, only DAP’s assemblyman for Kepayang Nga Kor Ming who is currently in Japan, and Keranji assemblyman Angeline Koo who was on the way to attend state assembly sitting — were absent from this morning’s press conference.

Koo has confirmed over the phone that she was firmly on the side of the unity government. She said she she could not make it to Saarani’s press conference this morning as she had to seek medical attention due to food poisoning, and had to rush to the state assembly sitting.

Prior to this, Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria claimed that government assemblymen had met him, triggering speculation PN was plotting to topple the state government.
